Liverpool vs Watford: Match Preview, kickoff, team news and possible lineup

Match Preview

Coming back from the last international break before the end of the season, and with countries and players alike getting to know if they'll be at the Winter World Cup, the Premier League Match Day 31 fixtures will begin with an early kickoff where title chasers, Liverpool welcome Watford at Anfield and could leap frog Manchester City for few hours with a win on Saturday.

Liverpool have been in formidable form off late, the Reds are currently on a 9 game winning streak, keeping 7 clean sheets in the process and will look to continue their fine form as they welcome the Hornets.

The Reds are currently the only PL team yet to taste defeat at home and have been ruthless in front of goal as they sit first in number of goals scored in the league this season. With high profile matches against fellow league chasers, Man City next week and a visit to Old Trafford the following weekend on the rise, Jurgen Klopp and his army will look to sweep away a team they've been unbeaten at home to in the last 6 meetings.

For Watford, it's a different tale. The Hornets are in relegation trouble, sitting 18th on the PL table having won just 1 league game this year.

Roy Hodgson will be looking to pull of a miracle at Anfield as no former Liverpool manager have ever tasted victory at Merseyside in 18 meetings against 19 times Premier League Champions. This is definitely a difficult task for the Hornets but a victory will put them on a safer side in the fight for relegation survival.

Team News

Jurgen Klopp will be without two notable absentees as fullback, Trent Alexander-Arnold will be sideline due to an ankle injury alongside club veteran, James Milner who is ill.

For Roy Hodgson and Watford, Ngakia will miss the trip to Anfield due to a thigh injury.

Possible Line Ups and Formation

Jurgen is expected to continue with his favoured 4-3-3 formation and with Alnord out, Joe Gomez is expected to complete the back four alongside Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Robertson. In midfield, Klopp should favour skipper, Jordan Henderson alongside Fabinho and Thiago in his midfield three and the Liverpool attack should have Mane and Mo Salah on either side of Diogo Jota.

Liverpool possible Lineup

Alisson, Robertson, Van Dijk, Matip, Gomez, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Mane, Jota, Salah.

Roy Hodgson also will also stick with his 4-3-3 formation that will see Ben Foster in goal while Kiko, Kabasele, Samir and Kamara will make up the back four. In midfield, Sissoko will run things alongside Louza and Kucka while the Hornets attacking threats will be shouldered upon by  Cucho, Jao Pedro and Emmanuel Dennis.

Watford possible lineup
